Age bands side by side
“Under 11” means ages 0–10. “Up to and including 12” still covers a child who is already 12. That boundary determines the category to select; then check the total ticket price for adults and children.
Sagrada Família
Ages 0–10 free; ages 11–17 youth rate.
This covers standard basilica admission. Under-3s need no ticket; from age 3 select the appropriate child ticket. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Park Güell
Ages 0–6 free; ages 7–12 reduced; general rate from 13.
Children aged 0–6 also need their own free admission ticket. Book every visitor for the same time slot and bring proof of age.
Casa Batlló
Ages 0–12 free; ages 13–17 junior discount.
Choose the General Visit and include free children in the ticket selection. Magical Nights and Bon Appétit have different child conditions. The junior discount applies to the selected standard visit.
Casa Milà – La Pedrera
Ages 0–11 free; ages 12–17 reduced.
La Pedrera applies these age categories to selected visits. Check the categories for your chosen daytime visit; do not assume they apply to evening programmes or packages.
Example: children aged 6 and 12
At Park Güell the 6-year-old is free and the 12-year-old qualifies for the reduced rate. At Casa Batlló both ages qualify for free General Visit admission. At Casa Milà and Sagrada Família the 6-year-old is free and the 12-year-old pays. This does not automatically make Casa Batlló the cheapest family outing: adult tickets and your selected visit type also count.
Sagrada Família: assess the basilica and towers separately
The towers have a minimum age of 6, including when basilica admission is free. Under-16s need an accompanying adult. The tower route involves a lift up and stairs down; with a younger child, consider the basilica only. Check the specific tower ticket and current admission rules before booking.
Official tower and visitor rules ↗How to compare a complete family booking
- Choose the visit type first: standard admission, towers or a guided tour.

Questions about child tickets
Are 12-year-olds free everywhere?
No. A 12-year-old still qualifies for free admission at Casa Batlló. Casa Milà, Park Güell and Sagrada Família apply a paid category. Use the age on the day of the visit.
Does a child with free entry still need a ticket?
At Park Güell, yes, including ages 0–6. Sagrada Família says under-3s need no ticket; from age 3 select the appropriate child category. Follow each attraction’s official ticket selection.
Can a 5-year-old visit the Sagrada towers?
No. The minimum tower age is 6. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. The basilica and towers have different admission rules.
Do these age bands also apply to GetYourGuide tours?
Not automatically. A guided tour or package can have its own age bands, service charges and inclusions. Compare the same party, date and visit type with the official operator and partner.
What if my child has a birthday before the trip?
Enter the age during the visit. A child who is 7 on the visit date no longer qualifies for free Park Güell admission. Bring proof of age when requested by the operator.
Which attraction is cheapest for our family?
That also depends on adult tickets, your date, visit type and any other discounts. This tool compares age categories. Then check the complete family total with the operator, including any extras.

The age rules were checked on 30 October 2026 on the official websites linked above. The checker is for families with children aged 0–17 and a paying adult. Special family discounts, resident promotions, passes and packages are outside its scope. The operator determines the final category, required documents and total price.
