Start with why tickets are missing
First check whether your date is on sale, try another time or compare a guided tour that explicitly includes basilica admission. If none works, change your day plan. This page does not display live stock or guarantee admission.

Sold out, not on sale yet or an error?
1 · Your date is further ahead
It may not be on sale yet
The official FAQ puts the booking window at roughly two months before your visit. Official booking window ↗
Our approach: note your preferred date, check again later and keep that part of the day open. A greyed-out date beyond the booking window is no reason to rush into an expensive package.
2 · You can select the date, but not your time
Check other times and visit types
Search for the same party at another time and, if possible, on another day of your stay. Then compare admission, guided visits and tower options by their inclusions. An unavailable product does not establish the status of every other product.
Work through the final checks →3 · The calendar or payment reports an error
Check booking status before paying again
Check your confirmation email, spam folder and payment record first. If a payment is unclear, ask the seller to confirm its status using your order details before starting again. This helps avoid duplicate orders. An error does not prove a sell-out.
Check these before committing to another booking
- Enter the actual party, including children. Avoid splitting a family across bookings unless the seller confirms you can enter together.
- Reorder your trip: an available afternoon slot may suit you better than an expensive combination you do not want.
- For a tour, look for explicit basilica admission. An exterior walk or audio file alone does not admit you to the interior.
- Compare the final total for everyone, language, meeting point, confirmation and cancellation. Book an alternative only if you value the experience itself.
Is it worth turning up at the entrance?
The basilica directs walk-up visitors to online purchasing through QR codes, subject to occupancy. Tickets are personal and non-transferable. Official ticket rules ↗ Our advice: do not travel to the entrance solely for supposed extra stock or buy someone else’s personal ticket.

Sagrada Família: official options or a tour with admission?
A guided tour is another booking option to check. Listing this product does not establish availability on your date. Compare a bookable time slot for your whole party.

Guided tour with basilica entry via GetYourGuide
This Touring Pandas product lists a live guide, basilica admission and radio equipment for commentary, with a total duration of around 1½–2 hours. It is a guided visit rather than an audio-guide ticket. Check tower access separately; it is not promised here.
Select the tour language and check the meeting point, check-in time and total price. At review, free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance is listed; read the conditions of your selected option. An English booking page does not establish the tour language.
View this option on GetYourGuide ↗Compare the final price for the same date, party and inclusions with the official website. Prices and availability are checked by the provider when you open its page. A ticket valid for one day still requires the booked entry time.
Product descriptions and official options checked: . Booking-page language does not establish the language of a live tour; select that separately.
When is that guided tour a good choice?
It makes sense if you want commentary, can follow an available language and are comfortable with the total price. Allow time to check in with the guide. A tour starts at its stated meeting point; arriving at the church alone may not be enough.
If the only available time conflicts with your flight, hotel check-in or next reservation, choose another day or the alternative below. A successful trip need not depend on one interior visit.
No admission found? An alternative half-day in Eixample
This is our editorial route suggestion. The walk does not reproduce the interior experience, but keeps your day coherent. The time blocks are flexible planning estimates rather than admission times.
First 30–45 minutes: façades from public streets
Start on the Carrer de Marina side, then walk around towards Carrer de Sardenya. Compare the sculpture of the Nativity and Passion façades. Use public walking routes and keep entrances clear.
Next, around 45–60 minutes: Avinguda de Gaudí and a break
Walk along Avinguda de Gaudí towards Sant Pau. Take a coffee break instead of rushing to a second neighbourhood. With children, use the stop to decide how much energy remains.
Optional: a separate Sant Pau visit
Sant Pau offers a self-guided visit to the Art Nouveau complex. Its website suggests around 45–60 minutes. Check the date, opening hours and ticket conditions before adding it. Official Sant Pau visit information ↗
Without a ticket, stick to the streetscape; this plan does not assume free access to the complex. In rain, do a confirmed indoor visit first and shorten the walk.
Would you prefer one other Gaudí interior? Compare Casa Batlló, then adapt your route. Avoid rushing into several replacement bookings. Casa Batlló: which ticket fits? →

Questions about sold-out Sagrada Família tickets
How far ahead can you book Sagrada Família tickets?
The official FAQ says roughly two months. A later date may still be outside the booking window; we have not confirmed a fixed daily release time.
Can you buy tickets at the entrance when online tickets are sold out?
The basilica’s QR codes lead to online purchasing, subject to occupancy. Do not count on a separate walk-up allocation.
Does a guided tour always have space when admission sells out?
No. Check your date, tour language and whole party in the booking calendar. A product listing without a selected date does not establish availability.
How do you spot a tour that stays outside?
Read the inclusions. Look for explicit basilica admission rather than a walk around the Sagrada Família. Check where you meet the guide too.
Do you need a more expensive tower ticket to enter?
You do not need a tower visit to see the basilica interior. Compare the visit you actually want and check its availability.
What if guided tours do not work either?
Save the interior for another trip and walk past the exterior and along Avinguda de Gaudí. Consider Sant Pau as a separate paid visit after checking its own calendar.
